Maths with Stefan
About me
Hi, I'm Stefan
I sat my IGCSEs in 2026 and I'm now in sixth form, studying A-level Maths, Further Maths, Physics and German. Because I've only just been through these exams myself, I know which topics trip people up and which explanations tend to work.
I keep lessons friendly, patient and focused. I'd much rather a student asks the 'obvious' question than nods along, and if one explanation doesn't land, I'll try another.
Lessons are in English. I'm also fluent in Spanish and Russian, so parents can message me in whichever language is easiest.

Outside maths
-
Machine learning and engineering
I'm often working on my own projects in machine learning and engineering, putting into practice what I learnt about the maths behind AI on my Harvard summer course. It means I see first-hand where school maths ends up being used.
-
Rocket Science Club
I set up and run the Rocket Science Club at my school, so I'm used to explaining technical ideas to a room full of students.
-
Investment club
In Year 11 I ran an investment club at my school, after taking an economics course at Brown.
-
BIMUN at ESADE
In 2026 I took part in BIMUN, the Model United Nations conference at ESADE in Barcelona, giving speeches and debating with students from other schools.
-
Rotary and Interact
I'm part of the Rotary Club in Jávea and its youth branch, the Interact Club, and volunteer with them on local projects.
-
Martial arts and the gym
I've trained in martial arts for almost my whole life and go to the gym regularly. Both have taught me discipline and patience, which come in handy in a maths lesson too.
-
Guitar
In my spare time I play a bit of guitar, mostly just for fun.
